| The Farm | A medium sized dairy farm located close to towns such as Newcastle West, Adare, Ardagh and Rathkeale. This is a very well structured dairy farm milking 60 cows through a 10 unit herringbone which was put in only 5 years ago. All housing for dairy cows and calves are in the one area. |
| The Role | This role involves milking 60 cows, looking after 140 dry stock cattle with a mixture of heifers and bullocks and general up keep of the farm. Calves are kept or 2 years with an automatic feeder in place. Some machinery work is required, however, the majority is contracted out. |
| The Applicant | The successful applicant will need to have the experience in the workings of the farm and also the running of the farm. He/she will also need some experience in dry stock and preferably both calving and rearing calves. There is an average of 40 hours a week with this position meaning some weeks may be around 30 hours. |
