Demand for farm staff throughout the South East region is now exceptionally high. Farm Solutions is busy filling this demand and has opportunities for people who want to work in the farming area. Farm Solutions generally provide milking and general farm work staff.
Opportunities are available for mainly part time positions but there are a number of full time positions to be filled at the present time. Part time work allows flexibility for someone to provide relief services along with their own farming, study or other duties. The options may be weekend milking, weekday milking, 1, 2 or 3 full days each week or a combination of the above. We would particularly like to hear from third level students who may have time at weekends or college breaks to make some extra money.
A number of dairy farmers in the area require a full time person for 200+ cow herds. The job entails the milking of the herd and the operation of tractors and farmyard machinery such as feeders, loaders, fertiliser and slurry spreaders. The ideal candidates will need to have a keen eye for the health & welfare of the stock and be able to implement proper grassland management procedures. Accommodation is available on farm in some instances.
